Ages & Stages Developmental Screening Hub

Metro United Way's Developmental Screening Hub is a free program for children 2 months to 5 ½ years of age. Parents and caregivers complete a developmental screening called the Ages & Stages Questionnaire®, and if a parent has questions about their child’s development, or the screening identifies a child who needs a little encouragement, trained coordinators connect families to services that can help. Plus the child receives a free book with each questionnaire completed!

Family Activities

Children learn through play! These activities help children gain skills in:

  • Early reading and communication
  • Social-emotional development
  • Health and mental wellness
  • Problem-solving
  • Physical development

Every child learns at their own pace and in their own way. Feel free to adapt activities or try ones from different age ranges. Make them work for you! Your child will improve their skills with practice so you can do these activities again and again. Help your child understand that playing and learning are meant to be fun!
